Issue Position

We must enforce strict accountability so we can be sure that taxpayer's money is not being wasted on programs that are underperforming. However, it's important to recognize that education is a local issue. Our teachers and school administrators answer to boards which are elected by those who best understand the needs and performance of our schools. We must make sure our school boards and administrators have the authority to do their jobs without the burden of unfunded mandates.
